Well if you are a geek I am sure you have heard of the movie Aeon Flux. Though you probably haven’t seen it because you have heard lots of bad things about it. Well for the mini review: worth a rental, though it sure isn’t the best in the genre.

Well lets start with what was good. The storyline was okay, though there are a few holes here and there, though the action helps a lot in keeping the pace moving along making for an enjoyable movie. Special effects were pretty solid throughout the movie and apart from a few scenes here and there that really looked like they needed more time on the render farm it was of the level we have come to expect these days.

The bad. What can I say, you could spend all day nit picking the mistakes that this movie made. The biggest one was the choice of Charlize Theron as Aeon Flux. They probably could have had someone else that was more able to carry off the physical aspects of the role as Charlize seemed to be limited in what she could do, which led to some interesting edits for some of the more physical scenese that perhaps could have been more.

All up it’s worth seeing if you like Sci Fi. Don’t forget Aeon Flux on IMDB for other opnions.
