Game Thoughts: Command & Conquer 3

candc3.jpgOne of the original RTS kings is back: Command & Conquer 3 for the XBOX 360. This game includes FMV scenes to take you back in time to when a lot of games did that.

The Good:

  • Epic Battles that will take some planning and thinking.
  • Mixes it up with some different styles where you only have limited resources.

The Bad:

  • The game takes over 10 seconds to pull up a list of save files, yes its just a directory list and no I am not exaggerating. Massive pain like you wouldn’t believe.
  • No cheat codes. Would have been fun to fire up some levels again with some cheats.
  • The interface on the console has some serious challenges, very hard to do things quickly or efficiently use your group selection.
  • Can’t zoom out far enough. :-(

Overall:

The game was fun to play apart from the really annoying save file issue I mentioned. Decent rental.
