Game Thoughts: Call of Duty 2

cod2.jpgYet another WWII themed game, this time it’s an old game for the XBOX 360, Call of Duty 2. This game is by the team that is working on Call of Duty 4, which is modern warfare and looks fantastic.

The Good:

  • Nice variety of missions, even though its all been done, they have a nice epic feel to them.
  • Smoke grenade effects in the game, these were a real highlight of the game and I couldn’t get enough of them.
  • The scripted events cause you to push forward and not sit back, your teammates will hold position until you advance, this helps keep you in the middle of the action.

The Bad:

  • WWII has been done, overdone, overcooked and its now flogging a dead horse.
  • No cheats.

Overall:

CoD3 was crap and I didn’t even bother to finish it, CoD2 is a much better game with more entertainment in it that makes it a blast to play, great rental. :-)
