Todays review is: THE INCREDIBLE HULK: Ultimate Destruction is a game based on the Hulk comics. What is great about this Hulk game is that you can destroy just about everything in the environment, even buildings. You can also use some of what you destroy as weapons and shields to cause even more destruction. Not only do you have a city to roam in GTA Style, there is also a desert which makes for some epic battles. Top it off there is a story to follow.
The Good
- Fantastic sense of scale. The hulk is big, and he looks and feels big, though when something bigger comes on the screen wow does it impress.
- 720p graphics are awesome, not quite a cell shaded look, though definitely a comic book style to it.
- Smashing things up never, ever gets old.
- Sound effects really add to the onscreen action.
- The storyline is great and not just tacked on to support the environment.
- You can gain new abilites as you progress through the game and most of them are awesome.
The Bad
- Starts off a bit slow and takes a while to get the hang of things.
- Sometimes frustrating having to do missions a few times to get them done.
Overall
HULK SMASH! This is game number 3 on my XBOX top 10. A must play if you like the Hulk or smashing up stuff.
