Dragon Age: Origins is a fantasy RPG from BioWare, makers of some of the best RPG games out there.

Set in a Lord of the Rings style world. Dragon Age sets out early on to distinguish itself and does this really world. This is a fully realised world and while there are obvious similarities, BioWare did a really great job of making it feel like it's own thing.

The game is truly epic in its scope. You start of as a character with your own back story and eventually are recruited as a 'Warden'. You know, the last line of defence against the bad guys. :-)

There are a ton of side quests as well as a lengthy and interesting main quest that has lots of twists and turns. As you move through the world you encounter a lot of interesting characters and ancient legends that need solving.

Overall: Great game. It's really long and is quite an investment of time. Though the reward is well worth it. There are multiple endings based on your choices with no 'perfect' ending, so it allows you to create your own game. You could play this game 5 times and still have different experiences.
